Arctic Light Elementary School will offer our Computer Club again for students in grades 4, 5 and 6. The 6th graders and some 5th graders will have Computer Club on Mondays. The 4th and 5th grade Computer Club will meet on Thursdays. Each group will meet 12 times.
This year we have a requirement to work on four projects from the areas of images, slideshows, movies, music, or using our tech equipment. Students can combine material from these areas to make projects for class or to take home.
Instructor: Scott Kennedy, ARC Kindergarten teacher
Time: 3:10 - 4:30 p.m.
356-2038 ext. 1087, lab ext. 159
Club time will be spent on both free exploration and direct instruction. Students may use their time to type their homework, learn about new programs and computers/ scanners/cameras, start building web pages, do guided research over the internet, and play their favorite games. Returning students are finishing and publishing their videos, and working on our Computer Club web page.
Club space is limited to 25 students per group. If more students are interested than can be accommodated, participants will be selected by a random drawing.
