Welcome to Arctic Light Elementary School!

We are a military-friendly school! We want to help make your transition in our school as smooth as possible! We have Arctic Light families that are serving on active-duty at Eielson AFB and Fort Wainwright, Guard, Reserves, DoD personnel, AAFES, and Military Retirees!

School Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC)

The Department of Defense has provided a Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) at Arctic Light Elementary. The School MFLC provides brief, solution-focused, non-medical counseling to active military and their families.

  • The School MFLC is a licensed clinician.
  • Interactions with your teen and/or family are kept in the strictest confidence.
  • No records are kept.
  • If you are interested in learning more about the program, call the School MFLC directly at (907) 251-8261.

A Parent/Legal Guardian Acknowledgement And Consent Letter For Child And Youth Behavioral Military And Family Life Counseling Services must be signed prior to the School MFLC working with any child directly. The acknowledgement can be printed off or be available from the School MFLC. Signing this acknowledgement signifies that the parent has read the information regarding the services that the School MFLC provides and gives the MFLC permission to interact with their child should a need arise for support.
